Ian Berg, Cheffy’s sous chef from La Colombe days is now the head chef at De Grendel, one of Cape Towns oldest wine farms, stretching out over almost 330 hectares on the fynbos covered slopes of Tygerberg Hill. Needless to say, Cheffy and Ian have stayed in touch and one day Ian invited us to taste their wines”as they are actually quite good”.
